About the artist
Leonie Bolton
As a local to Seaholme; Altona and surrounds have a lot to offer for inspiration to assist in the creative process.
Painting has been a recent discovery over the last 2 years. Using colours to create emotive portrait-like paintings ‘makes sense’ to me.
Each work is intended to reflect the observer, to bring about a consciousness of self in a busy world. To involve one another, so not to become independent from each other.
These artworks are representations of the sacraments of my life, the vulnerable manifestations of my experience of marginalised peoples, whom I find myself identifying with as I explore the human desire for community and acceptance, through vulnerability.
